Is My Home Pre-Wired?

If any of the following are true, your install is a 2-hour job.

240V outlet in or near the garage

NEMA 14-50 (50A), 14-30 / 10-30 (dryer), 6-50 (welder), 6-20 — any of these usually qualify. Builders sometimes label them "EV."

Junction box marked "EV-ready"

Title 24 has required EV-ready conduit and capacity in new California construction since 2017. The dead-end box on your garage wall is doing exactly what it was meant to.

Sub-panel in the garage

Some custom homes were built with a dedicated EV sub-panel. We land the charger on the existing breaker and you're done.

Recent panel work with a labeled spare

If your previous electrician already pulled a 60A or 50A circuit and labeled it for future EV, your install is a 2-hour job.

Why a Pre-Wired Install is So Fast

2-hour install

Mount the charger, land the wires, commission to the manufacturer's app, walk you through the first charge. Most pre-wired jobs are done in under 2 hours.

No permit delays

On a clean like-for-like connection to existing wiring, many Bay Area jurisdictions don't require a separate permit. We confirm with your AHJ before scheduling — never with a guess.

From $950

Charger + connection + commissioning + walkthrough — all in. No hourly games, no after-the-fact upcharges. If your home isn't truly pre-wired, we tell you upfront and quote the real number.

Full warranty

Tesla Universal Wall Connector commissioned by a Tesla Certified installer keeps the full manufacturer warranty intact. Same applies to ChargePoint, Emporia, and Grizzl-E units we install.

Title 24: Why Your New Home is Already EV-Ready

California's Title 24 building code has required new single-family homes to include EV-ready electrical infrastructure since 2017 — typically a dedicated 208/240V circuit and listed receptacle in the garage, or labeled conduit with panel capacity reserved.

Most builders go further and install a NEMA 14-50 outlet so the buyer can plug in a charger immediately. If your home was permitted in 2018 or later, you're very likely looking at a 2-hour install.
